Welcome to Weatherly (hereinafter referred to as "the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we process information you provide or generate when providing weather queries, weather alerts, and related functions, and how you can manage this information.

To provide you with current location weather, hourly forecasts, life index, weather alerts, and other functions, the App may process, with your authorization:

Approximate or precise location provided by your device;

Cities, locations, and coordinates that you actively search for, add, or favorite;

Time, language, temperature units, and other preferences related to weather queries.

You can turn location permissions and "Precise Location" off or adjust at any time in your iPhone's "Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services". Even when turned off, you can still manually search for locations, but functions that rely on the current location may not be available.

1.2 Device and Usage Information

To ensure the normal operation of this application, improve stability, and handle malfunctions, we or our service providers may process:

Device model, operating system version, application version, language, time zone, and country/region settings;

Network type, IP address, or a rough estimate of the region from it;

Crash logs, diagnostic information, performance information, and feature usage records;

Notification authorization status, push tokens, and notification delivery status;

The time and manner of your interaction with this application.

2. How We Use Information

We process information only for the following purposes:

2.1. To obtain and display weather, air quality, disaster warnings, life index, and other meteorological information you request;

2.2 To save the locations, temperature units, and other preferences you add;

2.3 To diagnose crashes, improve stability, measure feature usage, and develop new features;

2.4 To prevent fraud, abuse, attacks, and other violations of this application's rules or applicable laws;

We will not sell your precise location or weather query history to third parties. Weather information is for daily reference only and should not be considered medical, transportation, production, or other professional advice.

We will not sell your personal information or disclose it to unrelated third parties except in the following circumstances:

Disclosing information necessary to provide services to weather, map, push, analytics, advertising, or customer service providers;

Disclosing at your instruction or with your explicit consent;

Making necessary disclosures to complete mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, asset transfers, or similar transactions, and requiring the recipient to continue to protect the information;

4. Information Retention and Cross-Border Processing

We retain information only for the period necessary to achieve the purposes described in this policy, or for the period required by law. Location queries and temporary weather requests are typically deleted or de-identified as soon as the request is fulfilled; favorite locations and preferences are saved during your use of the relevant features and deleted or anonymized after a retention period, except for records required to be retained by law.

We and our service providers may process information outside your country. In the event of cross-border transfers, we will take necessary protective measures in accordance with applicable laws, including contractual, access control, encryption, or other compliance mechanisms.

5. Information Security

We take risk-appropriate administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect information, including encrypted transmission, access control, vendor management, log auditing, and security incident response. Internet transmission and electronic storage are not absolutely secure, and we cannot guarantee that information will not be accessed without authorization in all circumstances.

This application does not primarily target individuals under the age of 13. If applicable law requires parental consent, we will not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 13 without such consent. If you believe that someone under the age of 13 has provided us with personal information, please inform us at the email address below, and we will take appropriate action, including deletion or other processing measures.
